How Agnes RF is different from others?

Agnes Medical has innovated RF energy delivery by developing a Square Wave energy form never seen before in other RF microneedling devices. Most other RF energy based devices use a bell-shaped Sine wave form. The down ward slope of the curved wave carries residual energy that may potentially burn skin during treatments.

How It Works

The needles are the true magic behind Agnes RF.

Agnes needles are custom created and designed, backed by research based on the vertical anatomy of human skin. The needles are partially insulated to protect the upper layers of the dermis while delivering high energy to the target treatment areas deep below the dermis layers.
The needles are individually designed to treat different regions of the face and specific skin concerns. The shape, size, and amount of insulation of each needle are unique to the treatment area. The small surface area of the needle also means they are able to treat delicate and hard-to-reach areas with incredible precision and concentrated RF energy. The safe penetration of the needles produces dramatic yet gentle results, targeting just the treatment areas and preserving the integrity of the external skin.
The Agnes micro-insulated needles are the ultimate instrument in utilizing the exclusive science and technology of the Agnes RF micro-needling device. The needles are single or three-pin only and are designed based on research of vertical skin anatomy. Unlike square multi-pin needle heads, the incredibly small surface area (one or three-pins!) of the Agnes needles allows concentrated RF energy to be delivered to the treatment area with unmatched precision.
We currently offer nine different needle types.
Each of the nine needles is unique in shape, length, and insulation. They are individually designed for the specific region of the face and skin concern it targets. Certain areas of the face are thinner and more delicate, while others have more soft tissue to penetrate into.
The length of the needles and the insulation coating have been calculated to the millimeter to safely penetrate all different layers of the face. The insulation protects the upper layers from the dermis whilst simultaneously delivering RF energy only to the target area. 

Using patented in-house designs, Agnes has created needles that are exceptionally fine yet durable. Agnes needles use a clinically proven material for their insulation. It is manufactured with a coating technology called Parylene Coating, widely used in semiconductor and medical device industries, and it is harmless to the human body.
To ensure patient safety, Agnes needles are designed to withstand 300-400 shots before needing to be replaced. Agnes needles are single-use only. The Agnes RF device comes equipped with an inspection camera that allows the user to inspect the needles closely as another way of ensuring the safest procedures possible.

Here’s an example and a closer look at the mechanics of the Agne’s needles and how they can best be utilized

Type F3A –Micro-insulated three-pin needle

Agnes three-pin F3A micro-insulated needle is engineered so that the non-insulated tip of the needles are able to coagulate the subcutaneous layer (fat) and/or other sub-dermis layers depending on the different angles of insertion. The 2.00mm insulated portion of the needle, closer to the shoulder, protects the outer layer of the skin from thermal energy outputs. The three-pin needles are designed for skin and fat coagulation to enhance facial volume reduction procedures.

This carefully calculated length and placement of insulation differ on every needle Agnes RF utilizes, giving a wide range of efficient, precise, and safe treatment possibilities.

As illustrated, the areas and length of micro-insulation of the Agnes RF needles have been engineered to protect the outer layers of skin even through different angles of insertion. As the angles of insertion change, the length of penetration changes, allowing the user to coagulate and tighten within different depths of the subcutaneous layer.

The US FDA approved Agnes as a class type II category device, meaning that only state-approved licensed health care professionals can use Agnes in the course of treatment.   Depending on the State’s regulations, a staff nurse or other trained staff may operate Agnes on patients under a state-approved licensed medical doctor’s direct or general supervision.   We strongly advise you to contact your state regulatory agency(ies) and/or legal counsel for specific requirements and guidance.

Product Warranty
